In addition to his role as a member of the MMG board, Felix Ehrat is currently chairman of the board of Globalance Bank AG and Swiss Fintech AG (Loanboox), board member and chair of the audit committee of Geberit AG, board member and chair of the NGCC of Idorsia AG, and a member of the foundation boards of the Law and Economics Foundation St. Gallen and of the UZH (University of Zurich) Foundation. He is a lecturer at the University of St. Gallen and a member of the advisory board of its law faculty. He has frequently published on legal, business, and political topics.

From 2011 to 2018, Felix Ehrat was Group General Counsel and a member of the executive committee of Novartis Group. In this position, he was responsible for the global legal affairs of the Novartis Group, in addition to certain business roles. Prior to joining Novartis, Felix Ehrat was associate and partner in the leading Swiss law firm Baer & Karrer AG from 1987 to 2011. He was senior partner from 2003 to 2011 and executive chairman of the law firm’s board from 2007 to 2011. He also held roles as president of SwissHoldings, a member of the board of economiesuisse, and a member of the Foundation Board of avenir suisse.

Felix Ehrat completed his studies at the law schools of the universities of Zurich and Lausanne. In addition, he obtained an LLM degree in business and taxation from the University of the Pacific, McGeorge School of Law, Sacramento, USA. Felix Ehrat has work experience in foreign law firms in the USA and in Italy. He also completed several executive management courses at Harvard Business School.
